The Costa Blanca in Alicante, Spain is a wonderful region. Orba is also gaining popularity as a tourist destination; however, there is little to do here, which is why many people choose to take a day trip to Costa Blanca. In this guide, we will explore three Costa Blanca day trips from the region of Orba.
4x4 Adventures at the Prades Mountains
If you want to do something different than any other holiday, you need to go on a 4x4 adventure in the mountains. This particular tour will take you right through the mountainous region of the Costa Blanca and will have you back in time for dinner.
Seated in a 4x4 you tour the Costa Blanca in an open top setting. Your driver will take you to some of the most beautiful areas available in this region, including forgotten villages and lakes. Then it is time to climb up 1,200 metres above sea level, where you will be able to see Costa Blanca’s answer to the Grand Canyon.
As this excursion is eight hours long the car does stop for a ‘typical’ Spanish lunch and a chance to relax and have a quick swim if you so desire.
Aqualanda Park
If you have children (or, even if you do not) the Aqualanda Park has something to do for the whole family. The 6 main attractions at the park include; the Kamikaze, Pistas Blandas, Amazonas, Adventureland, Rapids and Zig Zag, even though there are also plenty more rides, shops and other things to explore in the park as well.
This is a popular day excursion from Olba because it is not short of a few coach and bus links, which makes it easy to visit there every single day in the summertime.
Terra Mitica Park
One thing that you need to do, especially if you are a fan of theme parks is visit the Terra Mitica Park just for one day. This park is not only for adults but is also ideal for children as it has been designed to incorporate thousands of years of history. Even though the majority of the rides have been designed for advanced riders, there is something to do for everyone here as the biggest rides have been copied but to allow for children, which means they will not feel left out. If the longest wooden roller coaster in Europe does not appeal to you then how about visiting one of 80 daily live shows. Alternatively, if you want to get away from it all you could make a quick visit to the shops.
